We Finally Watched Cats
Thursday Mar 10, 2022
Thursday Mar 10, 2022
Good for a Weekend is back and we've finally watched Cats! The 2019 film stars Taylor Swift along with Francesca Hayward, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Rebel Wilson, Jason Derulo, Judi Dench, and James Corden. How did such a star-studded film end up losing Universal a projected $70 million? We have a lot of thoughts. (And nightmares.) Along the way we discuss our feelings on seeing celebrities walk around like cats, how much CGI is too much CGI, our highlights and lowlights of the film, and Taylor's original song Beautiful Ghosts.
Kressie and Ali also share a new monthly episode plan to get back to GFAW's deep-diving roots. On the last Thursday of every month, we will release a new, deeply investigated, episode. What to look forward to this month? The Jack Antonoff Episode.
- Ali's Daydream: Jersey Boys and Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Upcoming Follow-Up to Fleabag on Amazon.
- Kressie's Daydream: Search Party on HBO Max.
