Planegate: Is Taylor Swift a Climate Criminal?

Planegate: Is Taylor Swift a Climate Criminal?

August 16, 2022

Criticize the way you fly... when you're soaring through the sky... Unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift recently debuted at #1--except not on the Billboard 100--it was Yard marketing firm's recent list of top celebrity polluters with private jets. MK and Kressie have a nuanced discussion about the backlash Taylor has gotten and how we personally feel about the matter.

At the end of the episode, Kressie shares her recent health struggles and why GFAW and her stand-up have been on a hiatus. MK shares that she is excited to be in Kressie's new will.

  • MK's Daydream: Better Call Saul
  • Kressie's Daydream: Only Murders in the Building (again!)

Chatting with Brooke Barry: A Swiftie Influencer

April 28, 2022

Kressie chats with TikTok star, influencer, and Swiftie(!), Brooke Barry. Brooke, now 21, first went viral at 15 when she posted a short clip to an app called Musical.ly (which later became TikTok) set to Welcome to New York by Taylor Swift. Since then, Brooke has continued sharing her Swiftiness on her TikTok to her 3.1 million followers, all while producing regular, non-Taylor related content. We discuss Brooke's sewing and her current goal to sew an outfit from each Taylor era, handling mean comments, sharing her love for Taylor with her husband Cole, and much more. Please check out Brooke online, @brookiebarry!

We Finally Watched Cats

We Finally Watched Cats

March 10, 2022

Good for a Weekend is back and we've finally watched Cats! The 2019 film stars Taylor Swift along with Francesca Hayward, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Rebel Wilson, Jason Derulo, Judi Dench, and James Corden. How did such a star-studded film end up losing Universal a projected $70 million? We have a lot of thoughts. (And nightmares.) Along the way we discuss our feelings on seeing celebrities walk around like cats, how much CGI is too much CGI, our highlights and lowlights of the film, and Taylor's original song Beautiful Ghosts.

Kressie and Ali also share a new monthly episode plan to get back to GFAW's deep-diving roots. On the last Thursday of every month, we will release a new, deeply investigated, episode. What to look forward to this month? The Jack Antonoff Episode.

  • Ali's Daydream: Jersey Boys and Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Upcoming Follow-Up to Fleabag on Amazon.
  • Kressie's Daydream: Search Party on HBO Max.
